At LEIALTA, we renewed our Family-Responsible Company (efr) certification this October 2026, awarded by Fundación Másfamilia. This continues a recognition that we first obtained in 2024 and reinforces our commitment to integrating work-life and family balance into our management model.
This renewal represents another step forward in our commitment to responsible people management and to creating a working environment where wellbeing, flexibility and professional development can coexist with the needs of our clients and our business activity.
As a business and social consulting firm, we have a team of nearly 30 professionals specialising in different areas of advisory services. Our work requires responsibility, coordination and the ability to respond to deadlines and regulatory obligations. For this reason, we believe that progressing in work-life balance is not simply about offering certain measures, but about building an organisation capable of making them compatible with the demands of our activity.
What does it mean to be an efr company?
The efr initiative, promoted by Fundación Másfamilia, encourages a management model that places work-life balance among an organisation’s strategic priorities, fostering policies that help employees balance their personal, family and professional lives.
Unlike recognitions based solely on the existence of specific employee benefits, the efr model incorporates management, monitoring and continuous improvement criteria. Its aim is to ensure that work-life balance measures are reviewed and adapted to employees’ needs and to the evolution of the organisation itself.
In our case, the renewal falls under the efr 1000-5 standard, specifically designed for smaller organisations and incorporating an external verification process adapted to their characteristics.
This approach is also closely linked to our understanding of corporate social responsibility. Work-life balance, employee wellbeing and equal opportunities form part of the social dimension of corporate sustainability and contribute to objectives such as SDG 5, Gender Equality, and SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth.
For LEIALTA, being part of this initiative gives us a framework that encourages us to continue reviewing our internal policies and progressing towards increasingly responsible management of our team.
Work-life balance also means taking care of people
Work-life balance goes far beyond remote working or flexible working hours. Personal and family needs evolve throughout a person’s professional life and may relate to caring responsibilities, physical and emotional health, training or simply having time for oneself.
With this perspective in mind, at LEIALTA we offer a range of work-life balance and wellbeing measures organised into five main areas:
- Flexibility and remote working. We offer three days of remote working per week, flexible start and finish times, continuous working days during certain periods of the year and an additional two weeks of fully remote working during the summer.
- Health and wellbeing. We provide access to psychological support services, financial support for physiotherapy and resources designed to encourage physical activity and healthy habits.
- Family support. We offer measures that make it easier to care for family members, accompany them to medical appointments and organise personal and family responsibilities.
- Personal and professional development. We promote individual career plans, performance reviews, specialist training and language learning to support the professional development of our team.
- Quality of employment and employee benefits. We provide initiatives such as a day off for employees’ birthdays, flexible remuneration options and access to private medical insurance on preferential terms.
These measures reflect our aim of responding to different personal circumstances, recognising that not everyone needs the same support or at the same stage of their lives.
As Natalia Galera, Head of Human Resources at LEIALTA, explains: “Work-life balance should not be understood as a list of benefits that a company offers its employees. It is about listening, understanding different personal circumstances and finding solutions that make it possible to combine professional life with everything that happens outside work.”
Work-life balance as part of our corporate culture
Building a culture that supports work-life balance requires a commitment involving both management and everyone who forms part of the organisation.
As a company, we need to provide the tools and conditions that enable people to respond to their personal and family needs. At the same time, this model relies on responsibility, communication and effective team organisation so that we can continue meeting our professional commitments.
“A company cannot talk about growth and sustainability without taking into account the people who make its activity possible. Supporting work-life balance means understanding that employee wellbeing and business needs should not be treated as opposing priorities,” says Javier Martínez, Founding Partner and Director of LEIALTA.
This perspective forms part of the way we understand business management. Just as with our ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system, we believe it is essential to establish procedures, review how they are working and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
Two years of efr commitment and a focus on continuous improvement
Since receiving our first efr recognition in 2024, we have continued working to adapt our work-life balance and wellbeing initiatives to the needs of our team. During this period, we have reviewed several of our measures, introducing changes in areas such as access to health and wellbeing services and the organisation of training.
This evolution reflects one of the fundamental principles of the model promoted by Fundación Másfamilia: work-life balance is not an objective that is achieved once and then considered complete. It is an ongoing commitment that requires continuous monitoring and adaptation.
The renewal of our efr certification in October 2026 encourages us to continue moving in this direction, listening to our professionals and identifying new opportunities to improve our working environment.
For LEIALTA, being a family-responsible company is not simply about having work-life balance measures in place. It means continuing to build a working environment in which professional growth and personal wellbeing can progress together, recognising that taking care of people is also part of our responsibility as a company.
